Rules
- All registered participants are allowed to the competition (registration time does not matter).
- Each contestant participates in the Contest with only one account.
- Articles that meet the following criteria are eligible for the competition:
- The new article should be written in Russian and other official languages of the UN in the period from January 26, 2018 to May 26, 2018.
- The article should be started by the contest participant, its volume should be at least 2000 bytes and at least 150 words.
- The article should correspond to the notability criteria for people
- The article must contain a category indicating the educational institution with which the person is associated. (Example: Category:Moscow State University alumni).
- The mention of the fact of teaching or training in an educational institution should be confirmed by reference to an reliable source.
- Additions to previously created articles about persons in the part of mentioning their teaching or training at an educational institution that meet the following criteria are allowed to the competition:
- The minimum number of words in addition to the previously created article - 70 words, it is necessary to mention the professor or the person in charge, the information should be confirmed by reference to an reliable source.
- After creating or finalizing an article, it should be included in the appropriate table below (the contestants do it themselves).
Principle of calculation of points:
- Creation of a new article about the teacher or alum will be assessed in the range of 2-4 points. The jury can note the volume and quality (style of presentation, design, illustration, number of authoritative sources) with additional points.
- Improvement of the existing article with professor mentions according to the criteria described above will be evaluated in the interval 1-2 points.

Prize fund
The prize fund is provided by the Association of Honorary Citizens, Mentors and Talented Youth. The total amount of the prize fund is 305 thousand rubles.
5 winners in each of the 3 nominations will be determined:
- I place - 30 thousand rubles
- II place - 25 thousand rubles
- III place - 15 thousand rubles
- IV place - 10 thousand rubles
- V place - 5 thousand rubles
- Special cash prizes of 10 thousand rubles each are provided for the five authors of the largest number of the best articles on outstanding foreign citizens who have received education in Soviet and/or Russian educational institutions.
- Special cash prizes of 10 thousand rubles each are provided for the three authors of the largest number of articles about professors and alums of educational institutions located on the territory of the Rostov Oblast (provided writing at least 15 articles).
- Special cash prizes of 10 thousand rubles each are provided for the two authors of the largest number of articles in German and Japanese (provided writing at least 10 articles).
- Special cash prizes of 15 thousand rubles each are provided to the four authors of the largest number of articles on professors and alums of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (provided writing at least 25 articles).
Summarizing
- 1.1. The results of the Competition are summed up by a jury consisting of experienced and active Wikipedia participants in Russian, who have experience both in writing articles and in evaluating articles created by other authors.
- 1.2. When summing up the results, the number and quality of the works created by the participant are taken into account.
- 1.2.1. The winner of the contest is the participant with the highest score. In case of equality of points, the total volume and quality of the articles are estimated.
- 1.2.2. Participants who have written not less than 10 articles satisfying the requirements can apply for prize places of the competition.
- 1.2.3. Violation of the conditions for participation in the Competition (absence of registration, participation from several accounts, creation of articles with infringement of copyright, articles of poor quality, other violations of project rules) leads to disqualification of the participant of the Competition.
- 1.2.4. The jury can disqualify a participant for violating the principle of "fair play", in particular for bot created articles, for not posting articles in the list within a reasonable time, for mass loading of pre-prepared articles at any stage, as well as for any actions that impede fair competition or deceive other participants.
- 1.2.5. The jury's decision is final and can not be appealed against.
- 1.3. Within a week after announcement of the results, the winners are informed by e-mail. To receive the prize, the participant will be required to respond within one month after the notification and provide the necessary data.
