Wiki Loves Monuments (rus. Вики любит памятники) is an annual cultural heritage photography contest.
Started in 2010 as a local contest in the Netherlands, it was joined by colleagues throughout Europe the following year, and later went global.
This global contest is organized in the Russian Federation by «Wikimedia RU» NP (till 2018).
In its first year Russia's section of the global contest was limited to St.Petersburg (hense its local name was «Wikipedia loves St.Petersburg», growing to become Russia-wide the following years.
